William Davis Bevan, Sr., 78, of Folsom, PA, passed away on February 2, 2018. He was the beloved husband of the late Theodora A. Bevan (nee Tielli). Bill was predeceased by his parents, John and Ann Bevan (nee Davis) and his brother, John Bevan. Born in Scranton, PA, Bill was a graduate of Penn State University, then worked as Chief at the Office of Telecommunications & Information Systems at the Defense Personnel Support Center in Philadelphia. Upon retirement, he worked part time for Ridley Rainbow delivering flowers. He was a Sparks Award Winner-Chi Psi Fraternity-PSU, and played softball, handball and darts on numerous work teams. Bill was one of the founders and President of the Folsom Boys Club and coached numerous local football, basketball, baseball and softball teams. He was President and Hall of Fame Inductee of the Ridley Football Boosters Association, Ridley Township Business Association Man of the Year and was a former member of Woodlyn Baptist Church. Bill enjoyed vacationing with family and friends at the lake, shore, camping and was also an avid sports fan. What he enjoyed most though was spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his loving children William Bevan, Jr., Deborah Thomas (Gerald), Mark Bevan (Linda), Lisa Williams, his grandchildren Danielle and Dominique Thomas, Jacob and Matthew Bevan, Samantha Williams and his brother, Robert (Suzi), sister-in-law Mary, brother-in-law Nick (Jean) and many nieces, nephews and step-grandchildren. Interment Glenwood Memorial Gardens, Broomall, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Bill's name to the Charity of the Donor's Choice.
