William Evans

September 18, 1947 — November 18, 2018

William J. "Bill" Evans, age 71 of Broomall, PA, formerly of Upper Darby, PA, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2018.



Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of William J. and Elinor (nee Hechler) Evans.



Bill served honorably in the Army during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart.

He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan who especially enjoyed watching the Eagles play.

William loved his family, and enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports.

He loved to decorate for Christmas and his home was notably recognized by many to view.



William is survived by his long-time loving companion, Joanne Galczenski; his dear children, William J. Evans, Jr. (Ceire), Amy Evans, and Stephen Galczenski (Jennifer); his loving grandchildren, William J. Evans, III, Chase J. Evans, and Evan Galczenski.

He is also survived by his three sisters, Helene Lobb (George), Elinor Farley, and Patricia Smith, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
