William Thomas Gillan

William “Bill” T. Gillan, 84, of Sea Isle City, NJ, formerly of West Chester, PA, passed away on January 12, 2025

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1940, Bill was the son of the late Patrick and Agnes (née McCartin) Gillan.

Bill was the beloved husband of the late Carolyn (née Nellis) Gillan; loving father of Bill Gillan, Jr. (Mary), Jamie Gillan (Janette), Kevin Gillan (Elizabeth) and Megan Sczechowicz (John); proud grandfather of Jessie Gillan, Brendan Gillan, Nate Gillan, Collin Gillan, Brady Gillan, Ava Gillan, Owen Gillan, Colt Gillan, Jack Sczechowicz, Michael Gillan, Asher Sczechowicz and Landon Sczechowicz; and dear brother of Pat Gillan (Kathy), Moira Connell (Charlie), Eileen Deegan (Tom), Marian Kofeldt (Frank) and the late Jack Gillan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Bill served honorably in the Marine Corps reserves. He was a certified public accountant and spent the majority of his career running a successful manufacturing business.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:30-11:30 AM Thursday, January 16, 2025 and to his Funeral Mass 11:30 AM at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
