William Gregg Haupert, 86, of Exton, passed away on June 6, 2016.
Born in 1930 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Gregg Dewey and Violet Estelle (nee Hazlett) Haupert.
William was married for 54 years to the love of his life, the late Marie (nee Genova) Haupert.
He served honorably in the US Navy. William earned 2 degrees from Drexel University for mechanical and industrial engineering and he worked as a contractor for DuPont. He was an avid weightlifter and in 1956 he competed in Mr. New Jersey. William loved and cherished his family and enjoyed vacationing at his homes in Ocean City, NJ with them.
He was the loving father of Lisa Hoopes (Ed), Kimberly A. Bencker (Richard), Gina L. Lane (Jim), Gregg W. Haupert (Stephanie), and Mary Jo McQuate (Michael); and the grandfather of Natalie, Matthew, Lauren, Benjamin, Bradford, Grace, Emelia, Gavin, and Aidan.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 9:00-10:00 AM Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Central Presbyterian Church, 100 W. Uwchlan Ave, Downingtown, PA 19335 followed by his Funeral Service at 10:00 AM. Int. private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in William's name may be made to Central Presbyterian Church at the address listed above.
