William A. Heistand, age 69, of Drexel Hill, PA, formerly of the Overbrook section of Philadelphia, passed away on May 16, 2015. William was born in Southwest Philadelphia. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. William was employed with SEPTA in Philadelphia as a cashier. He retired in 2007 after 38 years of service.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary A. Heistand (nee Keville) and his brother Herbert Heistand. He is survived by his children Mary Anne Heistand (Dennis) and William A. Heistand (Nichole), his siblings Alice Boyer, Pauline Heistand, Joseph, Harry and Stuart Heistand, 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Services and interment are pending.
