William Helsel

William G. Helsel, age 87, of Clearwater, FL, peacefully slipped away on February 16, 2014 at Suncoast Hospice House in Palm Harbor, FL with his family by his side. Born November 30, 1926 in Williamsport, PA, he resided in Havertown, PA for many years and retired in Clearwater in 1995. Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Army/Merchant Marines and spent his career as a computer analyst at General Electric. Son of the late Harold and Thelma Helsel, he was preceded in death by his first wife Kathryn Helsel (nee Caringi).



Bill is survived by his wife of 19 years, Emma Jean Murphy, his daughters Diane Wigo and Joy DiBattista, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.



Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Sunday, February 23, 2014 6-8 PM and Monday, February 24, 2014 10:00-10:30 AM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby (610) 449-0300 followed by his Funeral Service at 10:30 AM. Interment Private.
