William Michael Jordan, age 70, passed peacefully on Thursday, November 9, 2023 surrounded by his family. Bill was a lifelong resident of Delaware County, born and raised in Springfield and lived in Havertown for over 35 years. He was the youngest son of the late John and Catherine Jordan (née Moran). Bill is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Mary (née Dugan), his three daughters, Catherine (Michael Michalak), Genevieve (Brian Devlin), Anne, his granddaughter Grace Jordan Devlin and his Cairn Terrier, Hoagie. Bill is survived by his older brother John (Amy Donohue), brother-in-law Charles Zepka, his nephews Charles Jr. and John Zepka, and many cousins. He is predeceased by his older sisters, Kathleen (Charles Zepka) and Eileen (Paul Adams).Bill loved to be the life of the party. He was one of the kindest, most generous men; he would drop everything to help a friend in need. He made everyone feel right at home and treated many of his daughters’ friends as his own. His newest role of “Pop Pop” was his favorite and he loved spending time with his Gracie.Bill was a graduate of Cardinal O’Hara High School and The Pennsylvania State University. He worked as the Facilities Manager at the law firm Baker Hostetler (formerly Woodcock Washburn) for over 35 years. Bill had a life long love of horticulture, which he inherited from his father. He lovingly passed this knowledge onto his daughters. Bill was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and a season ticket holder for Penn State Football. He spent many years tailgating and watching his Nittany Lions with his daughters. Bill was a huge music lover and enjoyed going to concerts and sharing his vast record collection. He enjoyed traveling with his family, especially to the Jersey Shore to catch the perfect sunset and spending time by the lake in Hawley, PA with his cousins.Family and friends are invited to his Viewing on Wednesday, November 15th from 7:00-9:00 PM and Thursday, November 16th from 8:30-9:45 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA followed by his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at Annunciation BVM Parish, 401 Brookline Boulevard, Havertown, PA. Interment to immediately follow at Calvary Cemetery, 235 E. Matsonford Road, Conshohocken, PA.
