William "Kerk" Farrell

William “Kerk” Farrell, age 83, of Newtown Square, born July 24, 1939, in Philadelphia, Pa was taken to his Heavenly Home on October 24, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.

Kerk was married to the love of his life Sally (nee Gallop) for 61 years and the devoted Father of Mary DiCampli (Jesse), Kathy George (Michael), Melanie McGowan (Stephen), and Michele Ruppert (Jay); Loving Grandfather of Jackie DiCampli, Melissa Cloeter, Lauren DiCampli, Jacqueline Doyle, Danielle Campion, Kate Farrell, Stephen McGowan, Erica Ruppert, Michael George, Matthew McGowan, Mackenzie Ruppert, Devon DiCampli, Joseph McGowan, Tyler Ruppert, and 12 great-grandchildren, and his siblings, Sue Reiley (Hugh), Mike (Carolyn), Pat Farrell, and Ginnie Duffin (John), as well as his many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kerk was a loving husband, Father, Grandfather, and Great Grandfather. Kerk’s greatest joy was being surrounded by his family.  He enjoyed his family gatherings and social events, summers in Ocean City, NJ, and cruises. The family’s wish is that all who knew Kerk remember his sense of humor, love of life. Kerk’s spirit will continue to live on in each and every one of us who knew his kindness, love, and his compassion for all. Kerk never missed a party.

Kerk was a graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School and Villanova University.  He was an avid golfer at Rolling Green Golf Club.  He was the owner and founder of the NECC Corporation.  Kerk owned homes in both Myrtle Beach, SC and Ocean City, NJ.  He loved hosting parties at his homes, enjoyed cooking and loved food.  He also was an ambitious photographer and enjoyed travelling as well.  Kerk was a Lectern at both St. Andrew’s and St. Anastasia’s churches. He was a loyal Eagles fan and a Villanova basketball fan. Kerk was a patriotic Republican and a member of the Men of Malvern.

Relatives and friends are invited to Kerk’s Visitation on Friday evening, October 28, 2022, 5:30 – 7:30 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA  19073, 610-353-6300, and on Saturday, 8:30 - 9:30 AM, followed by his Funeral Mass at Saint Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA 19008 at 10:00 AM. Interment will be immediately following the funeral mass at St. Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 S. Sproul Road, Springfield, PA 19064.
