William J. “Bill” Lott, age 85, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on January 11, 2024. Born and raised in West Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Edward and Mary (nee Cullen) Lott.
Bill graduated from West Catholic for Boys High School in 1956. He worked in the Printing Industry as a typesetter. Bill spent 27 years at Havertown Printing Company and 10 years at the TV Guide in Radnor, PA. In retirement, he spent 15 years as a part-time driver for Wilkie Lexus. He was a member of American Legion Post 667. Bill was a practicing Catholic and member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Drexel Hill for over 50 years. He had very traditional values that he shared with his wife.
He was married to his wife, Florence, for 50 years before she passed away. They raised their children in Drexel Hill, PA. Bill coached his boys in Little League when they were young. He was an avid fan of the Eagles, Phillies, Sixers, and Flyers. Bill enjoyed fishing and hunting, he learned as a young boy on the Lott farm and taught his sons at a young age as well. His favorite things included spending time with his family and friends, going out to dinner with his wife, and sharing his faith with others. Bill loved spending time in his home but he also enjoyed traveling to Florida to visit his brothers and to Germany to visit his daughter.
Bill was the beloved husband of the late Florence M. “Flossie” (nee MacDonald) Lott; loving father of William J. Lott, Christopher M. Lott, and Barbara Ann Lott; adoring grandfather of Mikayla and Zachary Lott. Predeceased by his brothers, John “Jack” Lott (Marie) and Edward Lott (the late Eleanor). Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing 9:00-10:00 AM on Saturday, January 20, 2024 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, followed by his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church, 3500 School Ln, Drexel Hill, PA 19026. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
