William “Bill” Mansi, 76, of Newtown Square, PA, unexpectedly passed away September 13, 2024. Born on April 17, 1948 in Darby PA. Son of the late John A. Mansi and Gertrude Mansi (nee Jones). Bill was a proud graduate of Darby Colwyn where he met the one and only love of his life, Nancy, in Kindergarten! Together since elementary school and married for 54 years.
Bill proudly and honorably served in the United States Marine Corp from 1968-1971 as a Field Radio Operator. He worked as a mechanical engineer designing aircraft arresting systems for ESCO. A proud member of the Lutheran Knolls Executive Board and a blacksmith for the Thomas Massey House and Newtown Township Colonial Days. Bill loved to tinker on engine motors, could build something from nothing, and could fix just about anything.
Bill was a joyful, hardworking, and generous man guided in life by his deep faith. He was an avid hunter, gun enthusiast, and loved spending time with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
Beloved husband of Nancy (nee Gallagher); loving father of John Mansi (Kim), Donna Mansi, and Beth Walsh (Tom); adoring grandfather of Tyler and Evan; predeceased by his brother John Anthony Mansi Jr. He is survived by many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 9:30-11:30 AM on Thursday, September 19, 2024 with his Memorial Service to follow at Advent Lutheran Church, 1601 Green Lane, West Chester, PA 19382. Internment at Glenwood Memorial Gardens, 2321 West Chester Pike, Broomall PA 19008.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Main Line Health Palliative Care, Paoli Hospital Foundation, Development Department, Main Line Health, 240 N. Radnor Chester Rd, Ste. 340, Radnor, PA 19087, mainlinehealth.org/giving.
