William James "Bill" McLaughlin, Jr.

William James “Bill” McLaughlin, Jr., age 78, of Clifton Heights, PA, passed away on October 19, 2022.  Born in Darby, PA, he was the son of the late William J. and Elizabeth J. McLaughlin (nee Stackhouse). 

Bill was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Vietnam War era. He had a passion for his job working at PECO energy.

Bill was an avid golfer at McCall Golf Club in Upper Darby.   He played hockey with the OHL (Old Man Hockey League).   He coached hockey, baseball and basketball.   He enjoyed bowling, his work, reading, and he loved to travel. 

Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Anne McLaughlin (nee Francavilla). Loving father of William Brian McLaughlin, Casey Guilday (Chris) and Kevin B. McLaughlin (Kelly MacNamara).   Dear grandfather of Katy, Gavin, Brennan, Jake and Maxwell.  Brother of Patricia Clear (the late James), the late Dennis (Rosanne Larkin), John McLaughlin (Vicky Duffy), the late Michael J. McLaughlin, Paul McLaughlin (Bernadette Cook) and the late Donald McLaughlin. Bill was predeceased by his first wife Kathryn O’Connor.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Friday, October 28, 2022 9:30-11:00 AM at Holy Cross Church, 651 E. Springfield Road, Springfield, PA and to his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM.  Interment is private.
