William Millison

February 21, 1935 — February 1, 2017

William T. "Bill" Millison, age 81, of Ocean City, NJ, formerly of East Lansdowne, PA, passed away on February 1, 2017. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late William and Margaret Millison (nee Conlin).



Bill was a graduate of St. Carthage Grade School in Philadelphia and Upper Darby High School. He served in the United States Marines during the Korean War era.



Bill was a member of one of the best amateur soccer teams in the country, serving as Captain of the Cardington Soccer Club. In the late '50s, the team won the Palmer Cup, along the way beating teams like Seabrook Farms, which was a German-Hungarian Refugee team and the Ukraine National team.



He was a dedicated family man and extremely humble. He had been an active parishioner of the St. Cyril of Alexandria Church community, and a member of the Cardington-Stonehurst Fire Company.



Bill was predeceased by his son, William "Pecker" Millison and his brother, James Millison. He is survived by his beloved wife Anna M. Millison (nee Hughes), his children John, Thomas "Tush" (Charlene) and Michael Millison, his 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and his siblings Catherine Jackson, Robert Millison, Dolores Hitchner, Rosemary Brittingham and George Millison and many nieces and nephews.



Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Tuesday, February 7, 2017 9:00-10:20 AM St. Cyril of Alexandria Church, 153 Penn Blvd., East Lansdowne, PA and to his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment private.



In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill's memory to Holy Redeemer Hospice, 1801 N. Route 9, Cape May Court House, NJ 08210 would be appreciated.
