William Lewis Renn Jr. 82, of West Chester, PA, peacefully passed away surrounded by his children, on March 2, 2023.
Born November 16, 1940 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late William Lewis and Margaret (nee Faire) Renn.
For many years, Bill was a shop foreman at various car dealerships in the area. He made midlife career change and became a technical author for the automotive industry. He incorporated his vast knowledge of cars into a job he absolutely loved. He began at Chilton and retired from Bosch.
Bill enjoyed skiing with his wife and family and traveled to many places in the U.S. and abroad. He was an absolute joy to be around, with his witty jokes and charismatic personality. He truly loved life and appreciated the little things in his everyday world. He was an instant friend from the moment you met him and will be dearly missed by all.
He was the loving husband of 55 years of the late Judith P. (nee Quinn) Renn; loving father of Brian W. Renn, Megan J. Porter (Michael), and Siobhan P. Lengel (Thomas); adoring poppy of Ainsley, Gavin, Patrick, Thomas, and John; and dear brother in law of Constance Dulin (the late John), Kevin Small, Michele DelCollo (the late John), Sheila Gwinner (Horst), and Terrence Small (Kimberly).
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM, Friday March 10, 2023 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 2835 Manor Rd., West Brandywine, PA 19320, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery, West Chester.
