William F. "Bill" Riley

William F. “Bill” Riley, age 80, of Broomall, PA, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2023.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Francis and Anna (née Deminski) Riley.

Bill was a graduate of La Salle University.  He enjoyed traveling during the summer  and frequented Spain, France and Mexico.  He also spent time at the Jersey shore.

Bill was long term member and advocate of the Association of Catholic Teachers.  

He was a teacher with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia for 40 years. Bill was a parishioner at the Ukranian Catholic Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Philadelphia.  He attended mass regularly at the Cathedral where he immersed himself in the Ukrainian culture and traditions.

Bill also enjoyed reading the newspaper, gardening and spending time with his family.  

Bill was the loving uncle to Heleen Duffy (Dan) and John Martin.  He was also the dear great-uncle to his great-nieces and great-nephews, and extended family and numerous colleagues. Bill was predeceased by his loving sister, Elizabeth Martin.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, Friday, May 26, 2023, 9:00 – 10:00 AM at St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA  19008, and to his Funeral Mass, 10:00 AM.  Interment at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
