William J. "Bill" Ruhl

William J. “Bill” Ruhl, 88, of West Chester, PA passed away on December 23, 2023.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1935, he was the son of the late William and Sarah (née McFadden) Ruhl.

Bill was the beloved husband of the late Ann T. (nee O’Brien) and loving father of Ann Ruhl and Maureen Ruhl.

Bill earned his Bachelor’s degree from Saint Joseph’s University in 1972 for Accounting.

He served honorably in the US Army and was stationed in Germany during part of his service.

Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years, but he always had a love for the outdoors and nature. In his later years, he was a skilled woodcarver and was an active member of local and national woodcarvers clubs. He always enjoyed rooting for the Philadelphia Eagles and the Phillies teams.

Bill was a long time parishioner of SS. Simon and Jude Church in West Chester, PA.

Bill was a kind-hearted, loving, friendly, dedicated family man, and loved by all who met him.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing 10:30-11:30 AM Friday, December 29, 2023 followed by his Funeral Mass 11:30 AM at Saints Simon and Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Ct, West Chester, PA 19382. Interment will be held following the Funeral Mass at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, 1600 Sproul Rd, Springfield, PA 19064.
