William Smires

William Kane Smires, age 91, of Statesville, NC, formerly of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on July 23, 2013. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Edmond and Gladys Smires (nee Gray). William served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II. He was employed as a Switch Gear Operator for General Electric.
William is survived by his loving wife Floretta Smires (nee Perrotto) and his daughter and son-in-law Nina and Bruce Riggins.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Graveside Service, Saturday, July 27, 2013 1:00 PM SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, 1600 S. Sproul Road, Springfield, PA.
