William J. "Bill" Stanton

William J. “Bill” Stanton, 86, of Havertown, PA, formerly of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on December 7, 2022.

Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1936, he was the son of the late Thomas Raymond and Anna (nee Morissey) Stanton. Bill, who was known as “Hashbrown” to his family and friends, was an avid reader. He enjoyed woodworking in his garage and collecting model trains. Bill loved to travel with his wife, taking trips to Canada, Hilton Head, SC, and Massachusetts. He was always on the go and could never turn down a good Manhattan. Bill loved his grand-dog, Rusty, and his grand-cat, Misty.

Bill was the beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Lang) Stanton; loving father of Lesley Miller (the late Leo); dear brother of Ann (Edward), Robert (Barbara), Paul (Linda), the late Raymond (the late Dale), and the late Joseph (Fran); also survived by many nieces, nephews, and in-laws..

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 9:30-10:30 AM Thursday, December 15, 2022 at Sacred Heart Church, 105 Wilson Avenue, Havertown, PA 19083, followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
