William Steadman

William J. "Bill" Steadman, age 85, of Upper Darby, PA passed away on March 5, 2015. Born in Wexford County, Ireland, he was the son of the late Christopher and Eileen Steadman (nee Crowley).
Bill traveled the world for more than 40 years as a radio officer with the Merchant Marines. He was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather and an avid Phillies fan.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Frances T. Steadman (nee Hallahan) and his brother, Bernard Steadman. He is survived by his children Margaret M. Steadman and Michael (Rachel) Steadman, his grandchildren Brendan Towell and Matthew Steadman and his brothers Vince and John Steadman.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Tuesday 9:00-10:00 AM The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to his Funeral Mass 10:30 AM St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery.
