Robert Tyson

Robert Edward Tyson, 85, of West Chester, PA, passed away June 23, 2021.

Born November 2, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Chester and Catherine (nee Gilboyne) Tyson.

Robert was the beloved husband of Irene (nee Abendroth) Tyson; loving father of Dr. Margarete Pierce (James) and Catherine Algard (George); adoring grandfather of Laura, James, and Connor; and brother of Joseph Tyson. He was predeceased by his sister Kathleen Leaden.

Bob served in the U.S. Army, was a bricklayer for 50 years and member of Local 1 PA Bricklayers & Allied Craftworkers. His hobbies included camping, fishing, and he especially enjoyed music. He played the guitar and attended many bluegrass music festivals.

Relatives and friends are invited to his graveside service 10AM, Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940.
