Ronald Bradly, 80, of Drexel Hill, PA (formerly of Southwest Philadelphia) passed away on November 1, 2021. Ron was born in Philadelphia in 1941 to the late Archibald Bradly and Martha McVey Bradly, the eighth child of a brood of ten that knew no shortage of love and good times.
Ron married the love of his life, Alice Marie Fleming Bradly, on November 30, 1963, at Our Lady of the Rosary in West Philadelphia. Ron and Alice were truly devoted to their three children, Donna, Deborah and Ronnie, who they raised in Drexel Hill. Alice was called home in 1991, leaving Ron and all of us far too soon. Ron and Alice are now together forever.
Ron is survived by his loving children Donna, Deborah and Ronnie, Donna’s husband Patrick Doran, Deborah’s husband David Carpenter and Ronnie’s wife Tricia Duff. Pop-Pop (aka Pop Pop B / Little Pop-Pop) leaves behind the legacy of his cherished grandchildren Lexie and Andrew Doran, and Noah, Ryan and Quinn Bradly.
Ron is also survived by his brother Tom and his wife Peg, and his sisters-in-law Winnie, Bonnie and Marie Bradly. “Uncle Ron” is beloved by many nieces and nephews.
Ron was predeceased by his siblings Jean Devenney (and her husband Bill), Bobby, Dick (and his wife Lorraine), Elaine DiFilippo (and her husband Joe), Joe (and his wives Phyllis & Betty), Billy (and his wife Joan), Jake and Gary.
Ron worked as an office manager at Interstate United Vending (he delighted in supplying snacks to The Marshall Road Gang!), E.J. Fleming Roofing and Coyle Brothers Auto Body.
Ron loved playing cards with his family and friends while stealing all of their money and crushing “Greens”; watching his son and grandchildren dominate the sporting fields and courts of Delco, and binging Westerns, documentaries, soap operas and antique car auction shows. Ron was happiest keeping up to date with all of his Number Ones (you know who you are!) through Facebook Messenger, phone calls & visits.
Ron will be missed by the many who are lucky enough to have known and loved him.
All are invited to express their condolences, share their memories and celebrate Ron’s wonderful life from 9:00-11:00 AM on Friday, November 5, 2021 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
