Terrence McGovern

Terrence M. "Terry" McGovern, age 73, of Exton PA, formerly of Springfield and Clifton Heights, PA, passed away on August 24, 2021.

Born in 1948, he was the son of the late James and Elizabeth (nee Dalvet) McGovern.

Graduate of Monsignor Bonner High School and St. Joseph's University. He served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Africa, teaching in the Cote D'Ivoire for two years. Terry was an English teacher for 34 years in the Upper Darby School District where he taught at both Upper Darby High School and Drexel Hill Middle School.

Terry was the beloved husband of Eileen F. (nee Fartel) McGovern; loving father of Timothy McGovern; caring brother of Janice Wilson, Mary Beth Fogarty (James), and the late Nancy McGovern.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, Tuesday, August 31, 2021, 10:00-11:00 AM, followed by his Funeral Service 11:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382. Interment Birmingham Lafayette Cemetery.
